Career
Ananya started her acting career with the film Tak Jhal Misti in 2002. She later did films like Raat Barota Paanch as Shyamali in the year 2005 and Aamra as Shreya in 2006. She starred in the film Prabhu Noshto Hoi Jai in the character of Agnidev Chatterjee. Then she did several movies in 2009 like Angshumaner Chhobi as Souriya Ray, Dwando as Sudipta, Mama Bhagne as Payel.
In 2010, Rituparno Ghosh’s Abohomaan established her as an actress and she won the first National Film Award for Best Actress. In the 2013 Bengali film Meghe Dhaka Tara directed by Kamleshwar Mukherjee, Chatterjee played the role of Durga, wife of Nilkantha Bagchi. His other notable films are Laptop (2010), Iti Mrinalini (2011), Teen Kanya (2012), Anwar Ka Ajab Kissa (2013), Jodi Love Dile Na Prane (2014), Jogajog (2015), Tope (2017) and Bhalo Maye Kharap Maye (2019).
Ananya began her acting career on television with the series Din Pratidin, where she acted alongside Rudranil Ghosh. Chatterjee appeared in soap operas like Tithir Atithi, Aleya, Ananya, Chena Mukher Sari, Manik, Banhisikha, Dhyatterika aired on Zee Bangla, Gaaner Oparey aired on Star Jalsha, Kon Se Alor Sopno Niya, Nana Ronger Dinguli, Purbopurush and Kokhono Megh Kokhono Bristi se aired on Zee Bangla.
He appeared in telefilms like Jhon Jhonny Janardan, Ek Din Darjeeling, Amar Baba, July, Sukh, etc. She appeared in the web series Mohomaya in 2021 starring along with Swastika Mukherjee and Bipul Patra.
