AOC makes multiple votes against Israel and anti-Semitism issues

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has voted against Israel and anti-Semitism issues multiple times in recent weeks, defying the overwhelming majority of members of her own party, records show.

In just a few weeks, AOC voted against condemning Hamas, against condemning anti-Semitism on college campuses, and against aid to Israel.

On October 25, the House voted to condemn Hamas by an overwhelming margin of 412 to 10.

But the Bronx socialist along with eight of her far-left Squad members opposed the measure.

On November 2, when the House passed a resolution condemning support for Hamas and Hezbollah on college campuses. AOC also said no, joining the House minority in a 396-23 vote.

AOC also voted that same day against sending $14.3 billion in emergency aid to Israel to help the country fight Hamas; in this case, joining most Democrats in the opposition as the cash was decoupled from aid to Ukraine.

When Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) came under fire for defending calls for genocide against the Jewish people, AOC stood by her and voted against a censure of her squad colleague, which 22 other Democrats supported this week.

AOC’s anti-Israel views are not new and long predate the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack. In 2019, he voted with his teammates to oppose a bill condemning the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement against Israel.

When asked if AOC was a friend of Israel, Zionist Organization of America head Mort Klein told The Post: “Is the Ku Klux Klan a friend of black people?”

“AOC supports boycotting the State of Israel and has praised many who hate Jews by name. She is extremely hostile towards Israel,” she added.

A representative for Ocasio-Cortez pointed to an Oct. 9 AOC statement in which she condemned Hamas but also called for a ceasefire.
