At 23 years old, Arya Parvathi was also very surprised when she found out that her mother was pregnant at 47 years old. It was not only unexpected for Arya, but also for her parents, who had no idea that “Amma” could be pregnant at that age. In fact, Arya reveals in a conversation with Humans of Bombay that her mother didn’t realize her own pregnant belly until well into the pregnancy, almost 8 months later.

Arya told the outlet how it all happened: “Amma and Appa had gone to a temple where she suddenly felt dizzy and passed out. At the hospital, the doctor informed them that she was pregnant. For some reason, the bulk of her was not visible ”.
He continued: “Amma’s periods had stopped and she felt bloated, which she assumed was menopause. She was in her eighth month when she found out. And then, when Amma was 47 years old, she gave birth to a girl: Adhya.
