‘Beautiful black’: Honduran journalist steals sighs from Venezuelans in the country

The journalist from TSi’s Noticieros Hoy Mismo, Loren Dolmo, experienced a curious moment in his work as a reporter in Tegucigalpa.

Dolmo, originally from Atlántida, was complimented by Venezuelan migrants in the street, a moment she wanted to share with her followers through her TikTok account.

“When Venezuelans see a black Honduran,” the beautiful Honduran wrote in the published video, while showing how a group of Venezuelan migrants passed by and admired her physical beauty.

“What a beautiful black woman,” says one of the Venezuelans while the others agree with him and begin to greet Loren, who seemed flattered by their words.

“Oh, God, what an outrage, thank you, see you,” the 24-year-old girl replied, when the Venezuelans continued on their way and she said goodbye to them.

Loren, in the description of her video, confessed that she felt blushing when she saw the Venezuelans complimenting her in the middle of the street, indicating that she was not expecting it.

The video achieved more than 600 thousand views on TikTok, where many users commented that they agree with South Americans and also admired her beauty.

The beautiful journalist has never been ashamed of her roots and in various spaces on her social networks, she has stated that she is proud of her culture and traditions.

According to data from the National Migration Institute (INM), at least 377,378 foreigners have transited irregularly through Honduras between January and October 2023, a figure that reflects a dizzying increase compared to previous years.

Among the 377,378 irregular migrants who have crossed Honduras in 2023, 169,158 (44.82%) come from Venezuela, 54,418 (14.42%) from Cuba, 48,135 (12.75%) from Haiti and 37,088 (9.83%) from Ecuador. The remaining 17.49% come from various nationalities.
