She is the first Indian fencer to qualify for the Olympics, as she qualified for the 2021 Tokoyo Games. Career
Bhavani Devi started fencing as a student in a school in the year 2004. She started playing in her national fencing tournaments in Madhya Pradesh in the same year. She later started training as a professional saber at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai.
After his studies, Bhavani joined the Sports Authority of India in Kerala. Bhavani played his first international cadet at the 2007 World Junior Fencing Championships in Turkey. He played in the Mongolian U23 Asian Championship in Ulaanbaatar. That same year he competed at the Flanders Open Championship in Belgium, winning bronze medals. In 2020, she was chosen for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics by the AOR (Adjusted Official Ranking), and the tournaments were canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
