The people behind “Dark Brandon” want to make sure Donald Trump isn’t alone in his Truth Social enclave.
President Biden’s reelection campaign confirmed Monday that it launched an account on the platform created and owned by Trump, where it aims to combat “misinformation and disinformation.”
“There’s very little ‘truth’ in Truth Social, but at least now it’ll be a little fun,” a Biden campaign aide told The Post.
The new account, going by the name BidenHQ, launched its first post around 1:35 p.m.: “Well. Let’s see how this goes. Converts welcome!”
The Biden campaign then proceeded to mock and annoy Trump by releasing a series of clips, including Fox News praising the incumbent and 2024 hopefuls, such as former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, criticizing the 77-year-old former president.
In May, a campaign official told a axios reporter that he would not join the platform at all. But on Monday, the campaign told the same outlet: “We’ve changed our mind.”

“We joined Truth Social mainly because we thought it would be really fun.” the campaign confirmed in X.
Trump founded Truth Social in October 2021 after being banned from Facebook, Instagram and what was then known as Twitter following the Capitol riots on January 6, 2021.
The platform now serves as a stage for the 45th president to unleash digital tirades against his political and legal enemies.

Trump has since been allowed to return to the platforms that banned him, but he still favors Truth Social, whose user base is dominated by conservatives and led by former Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.).
“Corrupt Joe Biden and his team are finally recognizing that Truth Social is hot as a gun and is the only place where real news happens,” Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung told The Post.
“Unfortunately for Biden, his continued spread of misinformation to enlighten the American people in order to distract them from their disastrous record will not work and they will be doomed to oblivion.”

Truth Social served as a temporary boon to Trump’s net worth, and he has since dropped from the Forbes 400 list amid a torrent of civil and criminal litigation against him.
Meanwhile, Biden’s campaign has been flush with cash as Republicans compete against each other for the 2024 nomination.
Biden’s campaign, the Democratic National Committee and two joint fundraising committees raised more than $71 million between July 1 and Sept. 30, financial documents show.

The Republican Nation Committee does not endorse any candidate with all of its resources until a candidate is selected.
Trump’s campaign raised $24.5 million, just below the $24.8 million the Biden campaign amassed, according to Federal Election Commission records.
Both Trump and Biden are the heavy favorites to win their respective parties’ nominations and face each other in a rematch of the 2020 vote.
They are also neck and neck in the polls, with Trump holding a slim 0.8 percentage point lead in the popular vote in the latest RealClearPolitics aggregate.
