President Biden claimed Tuesday that the Israel heckler was a “MAGA Republican” when he was interrupted at a rally at least 10 times by protesters opposing his support for the Israeli invasion of Gaza.
The 81-year-old president, who spoke hours before the New Hampshire Republican primary results, became noticeably upset when activists changed the script of the event, his first joint 2024 campaign rally with Vice President Kamala Harris.
“Genocide Joe: How many children have you killed today?” A man carrying a Palestinian flag yelled at Biden at the Manassas, Virginia, rally that was supposed to focus on federal abortion rights.
Moments later, a woman heckler shouted: “Israel kills two mothers every hour!”
Biden supporters drowned out the riots with chants of “Four more years!” and “Come on, Joe!” during the president’s 19-minute speech.
The sustained series of interruptions followed more isolated instances of booing at recent events and may presage a trend for Biden campaign events ahead of the November election.

“They are deeply sorry,” Biden said after two initial interruptions from activists angry over the Israeli invasion of Gaza after Hamas terrorists killed 1,200 people in October 7 surprise attacks in southern Israel.
After a third interruption, Biden said in a resigned tone: “This will go on for a while.
“I think we have a couple more of these,” he told supporters in the 1,100-seat auditorium.
After being interrupted for the sixth time, Biden added: “This will go on for a while; they have it planned.”
Biden seemed irritated and accused his seventh interlocutor of being a “MAGA Republican,” even though former President Donald Trump, Biden’s likely opponent in the election, is known for his strong support for Israel.

“Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans, including the screaming woman,” Biden said before pausing to compose himself and added: “Frankly, Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans, including the Speaker of the House, are hell-bent on going even further away. [on abortion].”
Biden said in an exasperated tone to his ninth interlocutor, who was apparently on a balcony: “Look, please don’t jump.”
Harris, who spoke before Biden, was not interrupted. He relentlessly accused Trump of unleashing a “health crisis” that has caused women to suffer “miscarriages in bathrooms.”
When he was able to speak during his own speech, Biden also criticized Trump on abortion.
“Remember, it was Donald Trump and his Supreme Court who took away the rights and freedoms of women in the United States,” she said. “It will be Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and all of you were going to restore those rights to women in the United States.

“I bet we will vote in record numbers in November,” the president said. “And when we do that, we will teach Donald Trump a valuable lesson: Don’t mess with women in America unless you want to get the benefit.”
The disruptions to campaign events came after two recent large pro-Palestinian marches to the White House, as well as activists blocking entrances to the airport and DC-area shopping malls.
In November, thousands of protesters smashed the White House fence, pushed open the front door and chanted “Fuck Joe Biden!” On January 13, protesters threw dolls dipped in red paint along Pennsylvania Avenue and projected an image of Biden with the words “Genocide Joe” on a nearby building.
