Biden ‘past his prime’: Bill Ackman says president dropped out of 2024 race

Billionaire activist Bill Ackman says President Biden is too old to run for reelection and should drop out of the White House race.

Ackman told CNBC’s “Squawkbox” that he doesn’t think Biden should run for re-election.

“I’ve always been a centrist, I’ve always believed in supporting whoever is best for the country: Republican, independent, Democrat,” Ackman said. “I think it’s really important for Biden to step aside.”

Ackman, who was being interviewed about his recent feud with Harvard University, only made his comments after being asked about the 2024 presidential race, Fox News reported.

“Just in terms of age, beyond his main issue, I think a good part of the reason we have what’s happening in the world geopolitically is because he’s perceived as a weak president. And he will be even weaker.”

Ackman did not say whether he would vote for Donald Trump instead of Biden.

“I’ll make that decision when I have the option,” he said.

Gay resigned from her position on January 2 after being accused of plagiarism.

Ackman, CEO of Pershing Square Capital Management, earned his bachelor’s degree and MBA from Harvard and has been a major donor to the institution.
