“These accusations are unfounded,” spokeswoman Simone Kanter said in a statement. “The congressman has always paid his rent on time and in full.”
Goldman, a lawyer and heir to the denim giant, took office in January over New York’s new 10th Congressional District, which includes lower Manhattan and parts of southwestern Brooklyn.
He was the lead lawyer in former President Donald Trump’s first impeachment trial and has been an outspoken supporter of Israel during the country’s war against Hamas.
