Khalil Soussa of Medford had purchased the Money Maker scratch-off game at a local store before forgetting to check to see if it was a winner and losing it.

Soussa told lottery officials earlier this month that his maid found the ticket in a vase months later and presented it to him, and he discovered it was a $1 million winner.
