Flight stewardess Destanie Armstrong, 25, spilled all the details in a TikTok video that has gone viral since it was first posted on the platform.

Armstrong stated: “Our airline considers it theft.” His advice came after an online inquiry about how often savvy economy travelers try to score a luxurious first-class upgrade. “We will never allow that,” he added.

Armstrong did not reveal the details of his employer, but explained: “If someone wants to change cabins or even get an upgrade, it has to be worked out.” [by] the gate agent.”
And he continued: “The flight attendants don’t deal with any of that.” Armstrong, direct as ever, explained that trying to maneuver into priority seats is often a futile effort, as those coveted seats are often occupied by people who have purchased them outright.
Armstrong explained: “Usually the first class is always full. So people don’t really have room to do stupid things. [like sneaking a seat].”

According to Armstrong, in those rare cases when a premium seat opens up, frequent travelers armed with a little extra cash or airline credits could snag that coveted spot.
“If you have a credit card or if you have any status with the airline, [gate attendants] They usually end up making people better when the flight is ready to take off,” he said.
