World Youth Scandal 2018
Hockey Canada issued a statement Monday to clear all speculation regarding the selection of the 2018 Canada Youth World Team members and clearly stated that no player from the 2018 World Youth Team team will be allowed to play for the National Team in the 2023 IIHF Men. Details of the Canada Junior World Team 2018 scandal
Hockey Canada stated that such a decision would have the most immediate impact on the expected roster options for the IIHF Men’s Championship to be held in Finland this year. The statement says, “Earlier this year, Hockey Canada made the decision that until the investigation and adjudication process of the alleged incident in 2018 is complete, no player from the 2018 Junior National Team will be considered for Team Canada. This has been communicated to the management group for Team Canada at the 2023 IIHF Men’s World Championship.”
