An associate professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago is under fire for anti-Semitic comments she posted on social media calling Israelis “pigs” and “savages.”
Dr. Mika Tosca, a climate scientist and activist, sharply criticized the Jewish state in an Instagram story amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
“Israelis are pigs. Savages,” she wrote. “Very bad people. Irredeemable excrement.”
He called Israel’s defense against Hamas – the terrorist group that has killed more than 1,400 people and kidnapped more than 200 since October 7 – “propaganda” that is “downright evil.”
After the attack, Israel bombed the Gaza Strip, an area under Hamas control, daily to attack the group.
The Health Ministry said 2,750 Palestinians have been killed and 9,700 wounded since the bombing began.
“After last week, if your eyes are not open to the crimes against humanity that Israel is committing and has committed for decades, and will continue to commit, then I suggest you open them,” he added.
“It is disgusting and grotesque. May they all rot in hell.”

Tosca’s comments were denounced by the nonprofit group StopAntisemitism, which condemned the statements and alerted the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC).
“@saic_news, your Israeli and Jewish students deserve better than to be taught by this hateful instructor,” the organization wrote on X.
Liora Rez, executive director of StopAntisemitism, told The Post in a statement: “As reports of anti-Semitism continue to come in, we demand that administrators hold Dr. Mika Tosca fully accountable for her vile bigotry.
“She must be investigated for her horrible feelings. “Jewish students deserve to feel safe on campus and people like her make that impossible when they are openly anti-Semitic.”
The school said in a statement to the publication that it was aware of the “hateful opinions” Tosca shared on social media and that SAIC “repudiates” them.
“Those opinions do not reflect the school or the values we share as a community,” officials said.
Tosca did not immediately respond to the Post’s request for comment.
The SAIC associate professor is not the only university educator who has received criticism for her stance on the war between Israel and Hamas.
Joseph Massad, a senior professor of politics and history at Columbia University, has faced growing calls to fire him for “condoning and supporting terrorism,” according to a student who started the petition to have him fired after Massad praised the attack. But it is not just those who appeared to support Hamas who are under fire.
On the other side of the divide, University of Washington professor Seth Crosby said he was fired for praising Israel’s airstrikes on Gaza as “a much-needed cleansing, yes, but not an ethnic cleansing.” “Israel does not target humans.”
Crosby was criticized by Muslim advocacy groups for dehumanizing Palestinians as a whole, noting that women and children are among those killed since Israel declared war on Hamas.
