Gonzáles’ farewell took place in the Jaén bullring, where he was seen accompanied by his wife, Virginia Troconis; his mother, María Dolores; his father, Manuel Benítez ‘El Cordobés’, as well as his three children.
The 55-year-old bullfighter is retiring to dedicate himself to business and his family and in statements to La Razón he expressed: “My mother and my wife have been asking me to stop bullfighting, so they are very happy with my decision. It’s time to start another kind of life.“.
