This is not a scene from a Samuel L. Jackson action movie.
A viral TikTok video recorded aboard a Thai AirAsia flight from Bangkok to Phuket last weekend showed a small, thin snake slithering across an overhead bin.
The chilling mid-air discovery of the cold-blooded stowaway shook the passengers, causing those seated closest to the uninvited traveler to quickly move away.
Others wasted no time whipping out their phones to film the reptile aboard AirAsia flight FD3015 as it prepared to land at its destination on Saturday, as seen in a clip shared by an online user with the handle @wannabnailssalon, who has accumulated more than 3.4 million visits.
Cell phone footage that has been circulating on social media shows a flight attendant calmly trying to push the snake toward an empty plastic water bottle, but the creature walks away.
The calm cabin crew member then changes tactics and uses the bottle to push the snake into an empty plastic bag.
The snake was then safely stored in a closet until the plane landed, according to local media. It was later reportedly identified as a Blanford’s bridle snake, which is a non-venomous species.

Phuket International Airport staff boarded the flight before passengers could disembark and searched their carry-on luggage to ensure there were no other animals traveling on the plane.
It was not immediately known how the snake ended up on the plane.
The Post contacted AirAsia for comment on Wednesday.

The incident has drawn comparisons to the 2006 action film “Snakes on a Plane,” in which a killer releases a box of venomous snakes on a flight in an attempt to kill a trial witness who is being transported by a police officer. FBI played by Samuel L. Jackson. , who utters the immortal phrase: “I’ve had enough of these moherf-ing snakes on this mother-ing plane!”
This is not the first time a traveler has been found with scales on an AirAsia flight.
In February 2022, a spotted python was filmed slithering through lamps aboard a plane flying from the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur to Sabah, causing the flight to be diverted to another airport.
