A recent incident that is gaining prominence around the world is the story of a newly married couple who hosted the best dinner at an exclusive seafood restaurant. The pair threw a runner at Enzo Fabrizi’s restaurant, Ristorante La Rotonda, in Italy.

What is this fuss about?

The owner of the Italian restaurant alleges that the couple, Moreno Priorietti and Andrae Svenja, with their group of 80 wedding guests, organized a convenient dinner and script on the day they were married.

The restaurateur explains that he provided the couple with a luxurious dining experience with high-quality food along with music, flowers and even the evening’s decorations. However, it turns out that the couple thought it was a charitable effort.

Once the wedding dinner was done and dusted, the drunken wedding guests returned to their accommodation while Fabrizi waited for the next day to arrive. The groom, who had paid the initial deposit of 3,287 euros, was talking about coming the day after the event and paying the rest of the sum. However, this promise was not fulfilled.

Later that day, Fabrizi discovered that the couple was not only out of the town of Boville Ernic, Italy, but also out of the country altogether.

Why was the incident blown out of proportion?

The civil ceremony took place last August and since then, Fabrizi has done everything he can to catch up with the couple. After the couple fled the country and returned to Germany, Fabrizi did everything he could to contact them, even going so far as to call the couple’s parents.

However, after receiving no response to his requests for payment, the restaurateur, who claims the experience could put him out of business, filed an official fraud complaint with local police.

Fabrizi declared: “I will not give you peace until you have paid every penny” and stated: “I have been a restaurateur for 40 years and this has never happened to me.”

Once the police were involved, Priorietti became Germany’s most wanted boyfriend. He was subsequently pursued by German and Italian police.

Now what?

On Wednesday, the boyfriend broke his year-long silence on the case and stated that he had returned the rest of the sum of 8,073 euros. However, the plot thickens, as the boyfriend now alleges that Fabrizi manipulated the total amount he owed.
