While in school, George began creating four-track mix tapes and CDs for the underground hip-hop scenes in the late 1980s. At the age of 17, he mastered the skill of mixing tracks and began play in a club and DJ at venues all over Australia.
In 1995, Bonez became a producer. As he had mastered this art as a DJ, he performed phonograph trick routines and began producing battle records. By 1997, George had made a name for himself in the music industry by appearing in a documentary, Basic Equipment, which was made by Paul Fenech.
