Do you have a sports car? You could also have a small penis, according to study.

What was just a stereotype could become reality, since it used to be said that those who boast of a powerful car do so because “they have a small penis.”

Those identified with the inner phrase say that it is all because of ‘envy’, but a study has found psychological evidence between small penises and sports cars.

A study carried out by a group of psychologists from Cornell University, New York, shows a curious experiment.

The managers were not so direct to ask the owners of sports cars how long their penis is, but they have psychologically manipulated a group of people to extract this information.

The researchers recruited 200 men between the ages of 18 and 74, and told them they were going to take a memory test while shopping.

First, they were shown a known truth, such as: “The speed limit in Spain is 120 km/h”, then they were shown various objects to buy, and they had to mark whether or not they were desirable.

Finally, they saw the phrase again, which could be the same or slightly changed, for example: “The speed limit in Spain is 110 km/h”, and they had to say if it was true or not. The exercise is repeated with different phrases and products.

It seems like a memory test, but there was a catch. Among the known truths, they introduced data on penis size, which was always accompanied by a car purchase.

The trick is that one of the known truths was a bluff. Randomly, some subjects were told that the average size of the erect penis is 18 centimeters, and others, 10 centimeters. The real average is in between. Since the rest of the sentences were true, the brain tends to believe this too.

The goal is for those who see the average 18 centimeters to think that theirs is lower, that is, they have a small penis. On the other hand, those with the average 10 centimeters would think that theirs is larger.

Did the experiment work?

Those who were made to think that they had a small penis chose sports and powerful cars as most desirable. Especially those who are around 30 years old.

On the other hand, those who received the message that their penis is larger than average showed a lower preference for these cars.

“There may be something specific linking cars and penises in the male psyche. This hypothesis is supported by the data in this article, and would explain the existence of the phallic car metaphor in everyday jokes, advertisements, and academic discourse”; the authors explain in the study.

Thus, to conclude, psychologists affirm the stereotype that there is a psychological link between having a small penis and buying or wanting a powerful or sports car.
