Shakira doesn’t stop billing and on this occasion she released ‘El Jefe’ this Wednesday, along with Fuerza Regida, a new song where she made several references.
As in her previous songs after her breakup, the Colombian singer includes some references to what her life was like when she was married to former soccer player Gerard Piqué.
In her collaboration with Bizarrap, Shakira makes reference to Montserrat Bernabeu, Piqué’s mother, and now, she dedicates a verse to her ex-father-in-law, Joan Piqué Rovira.
“You kill yourself from dawn to dusk and you don’t even have a piece of writing. They say that there is no evil that lasts more than a hundred years, but my ex-father-in-law is still there and doesn’t set foot in a grave,” Shakira sings in ‘El Jefe’.
What did Shakira say about her former dream?
In the middle of a lyric that talks about labor exploitation, you can see in the video where the members of Fuerza Regida hold the singer down, trying to cover her mouth so that she doesn’t sing her ex-father-in-law’s part, but she doesn’t care.
As expected, the verse did not go unnoticed on social networks and thousands of users reacted euphorically to Shakira’s new mention of a relative of her ex-husband.
“Shakira even mentioned her ex-father-in-law, I practically wish him death and I love it!”, “Shakira slamming the ex-father-in-law. Hold on” “Shakira throws shit at the ex-father-in-law in a labor protest issue. My God, it never ceases to amaze. “, it reads.
