This driver got worse.
A DoorDash driver was charged after mistakenly driving into a swamp while following GPS instructions to deliver a customer’s Dunkin Donuts order.
The driver, whose name has not been released, claims they were traveling on a highway in Middleton, Massachusetts, when their GPS directed them to a “dirt road” and they “somehow ended up driving into a body of water” around noon. The Middleton Police Department said in a statement.
With donuts in hand, the panicked driver managed to get out of the vehicle and walk to a nearby home on Kenney Road, where police were called.
They told officers they had been trying to get to Mill Street, but somehow ended up being directed to “drive into a body of water.”

Police found the vehicle partially submerged on a dirt road behind 18 Kenney Road with the engine “still running.”
“The operator then requested to be transported to the hospital,” Middleton police said.
According to police, the driver has been charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle and an application for immediate license suspension due to threat has been filed.

It is not clear why the suspension request was made.
