Dumb thief poses as mannequin before stealing jewelery and food from Poland shopping centre; Arrested

In today’s world of thieves and mischief, thieves seem to have adopted an unexpected gift for innovation. It’s as if they attended a “Theft 101” course at the School of Mischief, embracing the spirit of creative chaos in their pursuit of ill-gotten gains.

Warsaw police arrested a man who posed as a mannequin in front of a store window. He robbed a shopping center after it closed. Security cameras saw the 22-year-old standing still with a bag in the store window.

How did the police catch the thief?

According to Polish police, neither store employees nor shoppers noticed anything strange while the man was in the window.

“A 22-year-old man with a bag in his hand stood motionless, posing as a mannequin in front of a shop window,” police said in a statement. “This way he wanted to avoid being exposed by the cameras.”

After the mall closed, the man stole jewelry from a stall on one occasion.

On another occasion he went into a restaurant to eat.

He then slipped under the blinds at the store’s entrance to change clothes and put on new ones, police said. She then went back to look for more food.

However, security personnel eventually noticed and alerted the police.

The man is also accused of robbing another shopping center, where he allegedly took money from the registers and attempted to steal other items after it closed, according to police.

The suspect can be sentenced to ten years in prison and will be detained for three months.
