Jai tried to control his emotions when he learned that Rishi wanted to be cremated in India while arranging funeral arrangements.
When it became clear that he would never be able to tell his deceased father that he had forgiven him, a visibly upset Jai became angry and shouted at Archie after being barraged with inquiries. After becoming enraged at Charles’ treatment of his son, Jai stormed into the town and tore down the church’s wedding decorations, lamenting to Charles that God could inflict such suffering so soon after a day of joy. Following that, Georgia made the decision to leave the community, saying her farewell to the family while Jai expressed his regret to Suni and Archie for his behavior.
