A video of the proposal went viral on Instagram, showing the news anchor getting the biggest surprise of her life when her colleague and now-fiancé decided to propose to her during a live show.
Cornelia Nicholson, a news anchor for NBC affiliate WRCB-TV, was reading a news bulletin as usual when the article turned on her. Riley Nagel, her boyfriend and fellow journalist, walked onto the set holding a flower and a ring.
He got down on one knee and asked Cornelia to marry him, and she tearfully said yes.

“I have a very special report for the unknowing folks back home. Cornelia and I met almost four years ago at a news station in Montana. And I was immediately taken to you when I met you,” Riley Nagel proposed. Cornelia Nicholson: “You have an amazing personality, you are so bright and you always light up the room when you walk in and make everyone laugh.”
