Three teenagers have been arrested for beating a father of three to death in Ohio.
Columbus police say the incident occurred at 7 p.m. on December 6.
The three youths allegedly confronted the victim, Donnie Smith, 53, inside a Kroger grocery store, WSXY-TV reported.
Security asked the suspects to leave after getting into an altercation with customers inside the store, and then the fight continued outside, police said.
Smith was taken to a hospital in critical condition, where he later died.
One of the friends who was with Smith at the time told WSXY that the group was “trying to bother whoever they could.”
Charging documents obtained by local station ABC say Smith was “unconscious and bleeding from the head due to the beating” and that the group was “laughing and having fun” as they assaulted him.
Smith died two weeks after the assault, the outlet reported.

The suspects left the scene in a red vehicle, police said.
Police did not say how homicide detectives tracked them down, but they did say they arrested Dionta Hughes, 18, Jamarion Evans-Bennett, 19, and Jayden Agee, 17, on murder charges.
Photos of Hughes and Evans-Bennett were released, but not of Agee, as she is a minor.
