Hassan Emilio Kabande Laija, better known only as Peso Pluma now faces imminent danger to his life, as the Mexican singer allegedly received death threats from the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
The CJNG is considered one of the most dangerous criminal organizations in Mexico, and it is not the first time that threats towards public figures have been attributed to criminals.
Supposedly the threat would be a consequence of what Peso Pluma sings about drug traffickers, this is what the message dedicated to the Mexican corrido singer read:
“This goes to you Featherweight, refrain from showing up on October 14th because it will be your last performance, this is disrespectful and loose-tongued. You show up and we’re going to get rid of all your M*****. Att CJNG”, read the so-called “narcomanta“.

These types of blankets are regularly placed in Mexico, where thousands of people witness the threats publicly.
The warning was placed with the aim of Peso Pluma canceling their next concert in Tijuana this October 14.
It should be noted that so far, the Mexican has not spoken about the death threat nor has he officially canceled his concert in Tijuana. The singer’s last activity was at the MTV Music Awards.
According to Mexican authorities, it was reported that one person was arrested at the time the blanket was placed.
Why did the Jalisco Cartel threaten Featherweight?
The reason behind these threats lies in one of the artist’s songs that mentions the famous drug trafficker Joaquín ‘El Chapo’ Guzmán, a gesture considered by the CJNG as a lack of respect.
