Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s grand consecration event for the Ram temple on January 22, passengers, dressed in outfits resembling Lord Ram, Goddess Sita, Lord Hanuman and Lord Lakshman, arrived at the Ahmedabad airport.
These passengers were boarding IndiGo’s inaugural flight to Ayodhya. Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the Ayodhya airport last month.
With the newly built Ram Temple opening its doors on January 22, the holy city will soon welcome thousands of pilgrims to the shrine.
The widely shared video shows four travelers dressed as Hanuman, Lakshman, Sita and Lord Ram at the Ahmedabad airport.
Members of the airline staff were seen giving sweets to passengers before the plane left for the holy city.
Singing ‘Jai Shree Ram’, passengers enthusiastically boarded the inaugural plane. Furthermore, at the airport premises, they were also gifted an idol of Lord Ram.
“Words cannot express what I feel. As a plane from Ahmedabad lands at Ayodhya’s Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, a passenger told news agency PTI.
