Florida lawyer left two young people alone on the beach, where they found a 3-year-old boy in the waves: report

A Florida attorney faces child neglect charges for allegedly leaving two girls alone on the beach, with a 3-year-old girl wandering alone in the waves.

Patricia Anne Bronson, 41, allegedly left the girl and her 7-year-old sister alone at Upham Beach Park in St. Pete Beach for up to 45 minutes on Saturday, according to a Tampa Bay Times report.

When bystanders alerted police about the unattended youth, the older girl told them her little sister was in the water, where officers found her waist-deep.

Bronson, a Tampa attorney, allegedly admitted she was babysitting the girls and dropped them off at the beach and then left to park her car, the outlet reported.

Bronson was listed as the children’s “caregiver” in police records. It is unclear if she is related to the couple or if she was watching them for a family member or acquaintance.

She was charged with two counts of neglect of a child without great bodily harm and booked into the Pinellas County Jail, where she received an additional charge of contraband.

Police said jail guards found her carrying a small vaporizer into the lockup, the Times reported.

She was later released on $15,000 bail pending a further court appearance.

Bronson declined to comment when contacted by the Tampa Bay Times.
