The auspicious occasion of Ganga Dussehra is just a few days away and the preparations are in full swing. Ganga Dussehra falls during the Dashami Tithi of Jyeshtha Shukla Paksha and currently falls in May or June. Usually Ganga Dussehra is celebrated one day before Nirjala Ekadashi, but in some years Ganga Dussehra and Nirjala Ekadashi may fall on the same day.

This year, the auspicious occasion of Ganga Dussehra will fall on 30th May 2023 (Tuesday). According to Drik Panchang, the Dashami Tithi will begin at 4:19 p.m. on May 29 and end at 5:37 p.m. on May 30, 2023.

To celebrate the auspicious occasion of Ganga Dussehra, devotees are required to get up early in the morning, take a holy bath in the Ganges river and wear clean clothes.
