Start your weekend off right! For most working people, their day begins when the first sip of coffee goes down their throat. While weekdays call for a caffeine rush to jump-start a busy work day, weekends also call for a little booze to drown out the stress of a chaotic life.
Well, a German company thought that people would love to have the best of both worlds and created a powdered version of the brew that can be made as instant coffee.

A German company invents a powdered version of beer
A German brewery, Neuzeller Klosterbräueri, has developed a powdered lager that gives you the opportunity to make beer like you normally would with a protein shake. All you have to do is mix water with the powder, stir and voila, you have a tall glass of beer at your service.
The brewery also claims that powdered beer not only has convenience plus points, but is also a great upgrade from beer for the environment. They say it takes fewer resources to craft, like bottles and water, and it’s also easy to transport, unlike the usual cold glass bottles or beer cans.
Stefan Fritsche, managing director of the brewery, addressed skeptical beer lovers in a statement: “We know that classic pilsner drinkers and all craft beer enthusiasts, especially in Germany, will be skeptical of our product. at first”.
He went on to add that the new product is not just about creating a new beer, but also about something much bigger: “It’s not just about bringing a new product to market, it’s about disrupting the business model for beer.”
Can this powdered beer get you drunk?
For now, the brewery only offers the non-alcoholic version of this powdered beer. However, the company plans to add several alcoholic versions to its game.
The brewery has a history of making strange beer products. In the past, they’ve come up with something called “anti-aging beer” and even potato beer. Well, beer enthusiasts are surely looking forward to trying this takeout beer at least once.
