However, the Golaghat SP reportedly called him and reprimanded him using derogatory words. Subsequently, he detained the forest officer at midnight and illegally detained him at Kohora police post for over four hours. “Spoke to Director General of Police Assam Sri @gpsinghips about the incident involving Superintendent of Police Golaghat,” the Assam Chief Minister wrote on X after the situation became public. “We oppose arrogance and public employees must maintain humility both in their attitudes and in their actions.”
