Google has revealed that Docs and Gmail will soon include AI-powered capabilities.

The company says it now enables Workspace users to harness the power of generative AI to create, connect, and collaborate.

He said trusted testers will be the first to use the AI-powered writing tool.

The company said smart writing and smart reply, summaries of Docs, making users look more professional in meetings, and staying protected against malware and phishing attacks are all AI benefits that are helping its three billion users save time.

According to Johanna Wright, Vice President of Product at Google Workspace, “Advances in generative AI allow us to execute on this goal in new ways.” Workspace’s mission is to truly connect people so they can create, innovate and thrive together.

“Today, we’re unveiling our broader vision for how Workspace will evolve to include AI as a collaborative partner that’s always available to help you achieve your goals — across Gmail, Docs, Slides, Sheets, Meet, and Chat,” the company said. . he said in a statement.

As we embark on this new path, we will gradually introduce these new generative AI experiences to trusted testers throughout the year before making them available to the general public.

The newly introduced artificial intelligence feature, according to Wright, will allow users to compose, reply, summarize and prioritize their Gmail messages; brainstorming, proofreading, writing and rewriting in Documents; bring your creative visions to life with automatically generated images, audio, and video in Slides; and transform your raw data into insights and analysis through auto-completion, formula generation, and contextual categorization in Sheets.
