Head of anti-Semitism watchdog says doctors, teachers ‘spewing hate’

The director of a watchdog group that identifies acts of anti-Semitism says she and her team are stunned by the Jewish hatred expressed by the so-called pillars of our society, including doctors, nurses and teachers.

Liora Rez, a refugee from the Soviet Union, founded StopAntisemitism in 2018 to expose intolerant behavior towards Jewish people and Israel through the use of social media.

Since Hamas terrorists invaded Israel on October 7 and massacred 1,200 people, reports of alarming anti-Jewish behavior have skyrocketed.

“Our anti-Semitic submissions have increased 1,500% on our website, social media channels and our phone and text lines,” Rez told Fox News Digital.

Many of those who have appeared in the campaign have been fired.

“We are creating consequences for those who embrace hatred and intolerance against the Jewish people and nation,” Rez said. “They have the right to spew hate and we have the right to expose it.”

Doctors celebrate the October 7 massacre

Dr. Majd Aburabia, medical director of the breast care center at Beaumont Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan, posted on Facebook on the day of the Oct. 7 attack.

She captioned a photo from the musical Oklahoma: “Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day! #IFKYK (if you know, you know)” in reference to the massacre.

“This is abhorrent @CorewellHealth – your Jewish patients deserve to be treated by someone who doesn’t support terrorists who kill babies, women and the elderly!” the watchdog group wrote about X. Two weeks later, StopAntisemitism announced that she had been fired.

A London surgeon suffered a similar fate. Dr. Manoj Sen, a former Northwick Park Hospital employee, was fired after posting on Facebook in German: “Jews are our disgrace.”

Apple employees and teachers

Apple parted ways with three employees after StopAntisemitism posted their anti-Jewish comments on social media.

Among them is Natasha Dach. “I KNOW WHO YOU REALLY ARE: MURDERERS AND THIEVES,” she wrote. “You go into countries, you steal people’s lives, jobs, homes, streets… And when people act on it, you call it terrorism.”

A climate science professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago has apologized after her shocking Instagram rant denouncing the entire Jewish state as being marked by StopAntisemitism.

The school previously declined to comment on whether Tosca would be disciplined for her behavior.

Critic calls StopAntisemitism a ‘hate site’

The group, whose videos of students tearing down posters of Israeli hostages have gone viral, also has its detractors.

Edward Ahmed Mitchell, deputy director of CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations), told Fox News Digital that while combating anti-Semitism is a “noble goal,” the true purpose of StopAntisemitism is “to use harassment as a tool to silence the people”.

He called the group anti-Muslim and said it has a history of persecuting anyone who shows sympathy for Palestinians.

“I have no respect for this place,” he said. “I consider it a hate site that accidentally, sometimes, ensnares real anti-Semites, but is truly dedicated to protecting the government of Israel from legitimate criticism.”

Muslims have also been subject to increasing incidents of intolerance since the war between Israel and Hamas began. CAIR, a nonprofit civil rights organization, received 1,283 complaints of bias in the past month.

Tensions continue to rise as the war progresses.

More than 11,000 people have been killed in Gaza since Israel’s ground invasion and bombing, according to the Hamas-controlled Health Ministry.
