The video was filmed at Sloan Lake in Colorado, USA, and shows the heroic man jumping into the icy water to save Loki, a husky dog who was struggling to get out.
Holly Morphew, the Instagram user who shared the video, explained that the dog fell into the lake while chasing the geese. Disregarding his personal safety, the man, identified as Jason Skidgel, stripped down and dove in to save the dog.
According to the post’s caption, a group of friends were out for a walk at Sloan’s Lake when they witnessed a heart attack incident. They observed a dog running across the lake, chasing a flock of geese.
Concerned, they watched as the dog made it to the edge of the ice-covered lake, only to plunge into the icy water. Onlookers were anxiously waiting for the dog to find a way to break the ice and get to safety, but it soon became apparent that the struggle was taking its toll on the exhausted animal.
