Where is the rental located?
A Reddit user left people speechless when he shared a listing from the No Broker app. The viral listing left people absolutely baffled given the specifics of the residential block. The post’s modest living room was a 1 RK (bedroom and kitchen) set with enough space for a single bed to fit into the “bedroom” portion of the apartment.
The apartment, according to the publication, was located in Bengaluru’s Mahadevapura. Recently, Bengaluru has had a bad reputation on the internet, with city residents exposing landlords and their rising expectations of ideal tenants. Additionally, housing prices in the area are also frequent topics on the Internet.
What was strange about the list?
The most sketchy part of the list was the bedroom, which only had enough space for a single bed. In addition to a modest sleeping space, the accommodation also offered a small kitchenette with a sink, a two-burner stove, and a mini refrigerator. The space also had two closets for storage and a bathroom adjacent to the kitchen and bed.
The place also had other important facilities such as a geyser for cold mornings, a water purifier in the kitchen and a gas cylinder equipped to power the kitchen stove. Interestingly, the listing mentioned that a “maid’s room” also comes with the apartment, which left the Internet confused. Given the space offered for the bedroom, people were confused about how another person would fit into the equation.
The advert promoted the apartment by boasting about the local facilities around the apartment location: “ATM and bus station are close by, you will find it very easy to have money in hand and access to public transport. With a petrol pump and a supermarket, your daily needs are easily met.” However, people were not convinced and had a lot to say about the bed-sized bedroom in the apartment.
What made people roll their eyes the most was the price for a month of living on the 1 RK floor. The owner had put the flat up for sale on the site for a whopping Rs 12,000 per month.
