Traffic Reporter Jeff Baugh Cause of Death
Renowned traffic journalist Jeff Baugh was serving for KFI at the time of his passing. It was in 1986 that he began working as a journalist and joined KFWB. He served as an integral part of KFWB’s news coverage. Former program director Andy Ludlum claimed that Jeff Baugh was the station’s secret weapon. He spent a long period at KNX News from 2008 to 2017. Jeff Baugh also had many friends there. Pete also added that it’s one thing when you say there’s a problem on the 101, (but) Jeff would explain where it was and more importantly how to get around it in such language that you could sit there and make up your mind (and say) ‘did you know? I better listen to this guy and better turn around or get down here right now. According to Jennifer York, the late traffic reporter was a warm hug. Jennifer York recalled him saying that whenever she was on the ground when she flew for Channel Five, Baugh would come over to her and hug her at the airport and they would eat donuts together.
Speaking of Baugh’s cause of death, it is still unclear what the actual cause of death was, but it is suggested that the traffic reporter had been struggling with age-related ailments. His health had declined and he was continually deteriorating. More details will be out soon. Stay tuned.
