‘I wasn’t sorry’: young man who worked at traffic lights graduates from university

Working under the sun, the rain, with hunger, cold, heat and for many hours a day, this is how a young Colombian managed to pay for his university studies.

This is Sebastián Camilo Martínez Orozco, just 22 years old, who recently graduated from the Universidad del Magdalena, Santa Marta, Colombia.

His story went viral in the last few hours, after claiming to be proud of having worked for more than 3 years on city traffic lights in the South American country.

“I worked as a street artist at traffic lights, I didn’t feel sorry for it because it was to pay for my university degree,” he told the media.

In the images released, you can see how he took advantage of the fact that the traffic light was red to perform skills with the ball and then ask the drivers for money.

“Today I reap the fruits of all that effort. I am a street professional,” said the professional Sports graduate while posing happily with his toga and the ball in hand.

Likewise, he expressed his gratitude to all the people who gave him money at each of the traffic lights, since they contributed to what he is today: a university professional.
