Who posted the video?
Tavi Castro, professional freediver, appears in the video. The magical look of the video is what makes it unique. Castro, unlike most freedivers, does not wear a swimsuit.
He is naked and appears barefoot as he rests on an aquatic rock before swimming upwards. The lighting in the video is such that everything around Castro appears blurry, but a ray of light illuminates him.
Where was the video recorded?
This film, which was shot in the Mexican coastal city of Tulum, has received more than nine lakh likes. Castro shared this video with a long title.
What does the diver have to say?
“We suffer more in our imagination than in reality,” he wrote.
“I spent another day exploring underground at 100 feet (32 meters) holding my breath. People ask me if I’ve ever been scared underwater… It’s hard to put into words how serene and healing the experience is. The sound of heartbeats from your heart, perfect weightlessness and pure presence. It’s as if the weight of the world has been lifted from your shoulders. You can fly for a short time… long enough to heal from the chaos and mental illnesses of modern life. Yes “Only all of you could be there to understand… Is peace synonymous with success?”
How did people react on the Internet?
Many people referred to Castro as “Poseidon,” the Greek god of the sea, in the comments section. One person described him as “an anime villain.” “For a minute my brain turned 9 again and I was like ‘oh my god, mermaids’ and then I realized, ‘oh, it’s just a person walking around underwater,’ one Instagram user commented. Oh, that guy He’s walking underwater.” Emotional roller coaster, I tell you.”
Among the congratulations, many people advised against romanticizing adventure sports such as freediving. “This is actually how many divers die,” one person wrote. They are so comfortable in the water that their bodies never panic. They will simply pass out due to the lack of oxygen before their brain recognizes the need.” Watch the viral video here.
