Career

Trivedi began her career at the age of 19 while writing her first fiction novel: What Would You Do to Save the World?: Confessions of a Would-be Beauty Queen. She later published The Great Indian Love Story and her 2011 fiction novel There’s No Love On Wall Street.

Trivedi then wrote an essay titled “Love Me Do” for Outlook, which was part of the beginning of her nonfiction book, India in Love: Marriage and S*xuality in the 21st Century. In 2016, she published Gumrah: 11 Short Teen Crime Stories, and in 2017 she published the novel Nikhil and Riya and The 10 Minute Yoga Solution.

Additionally, she co-authored the book The Desi Guide to Dating with Sachin Bhatia and recently published Om the Yoga Dog. Trivedi is also the founder of Namami Yoga, a non-profit organization, the Ira Yoga Wellness mobile app, and Yog Love, an online yoga studio.

She continues to write for The Hindu, Deccan Chronicle, The Telegraph, Times of India and Outlook, and speaks often on gender, women and youth issues.
