An Israeli mother and her two young daughters were among more than 100 civilians taken hostage by Hamas terrorists who invaded the country in a bloody sneak attack on Saturday.
Doron Asher had gone with his daughters to visit their grandmother in the village of Nir Oz, near the Gaza border, over the weekend when Hamas militants invaded the house, Reuters reported.
Terrified, she called her husband, Yoni, in central Israel, but the phone cut off and he has not heard from her since.
“She told me that the terrorists are in the house,” and that was it, Yoni said.
Tracing Doron’s phone, his location showed he was across the border from Gaza, Yoni said.
His fears were later confirmed when he saw a video on social media that clearly showed Doron and his daughters being loaded at gunpoint into a car along with other hostages and being taken away by Hamas militants.

“I surely identified my wife, my two daughters and my mother-in-law in some kind of car and the Hamas terrorists around them,” Yoni said.
“My two little girls are just babies, they are not even 5 years old and 3 years old. …I don’t know on what terms they are captive. “I don’t know what happened to them.”
Yoni made a desperate plea to keep his family safe and even offered himself as a hostage in exchange for their return.
“I want to ask Hamas: ‘Don’t hurt them. Don’t hurt small children. Don’t hurt women.
“’If you want me instead, I’m willing to go.’ “

Hundreds of Israelis have been killed since Hamas fighters swept into the country on Saturday, leaving a trail of bloody destruction.
Thousands have also been injured.
Numerous videos have emerged showing women, old and young, being carried screaming on motorcycles and cars and loaded onto trucks and wagons.
Survivors of a music festival attacked by Hamas said militants shot at the legs of concertgoers to prevent them from fleeing.
Doron is also a German citizen, according to the Independent, and her family has asked the country’s officials to help her and the girls return safely.
She is not the only German Israeli to be drawn into the conflict.
Shani Louk, a German tattoo artist, was positively identified as a woman whose body was seen naked, thrown into the back of a van and paraded by leering Hamas fighters. It is unclear whether she is alive or dead.
