A Japanese guy who has spent £12,480 to become a dog claims that people are ‘misinformed’ about what he truly desires.
While many people think he’s just barking, the man in the suit, who goes by the name Toco, doesn’t desire the dog life after all. Here’s what he wants people to know.

Japanese man who ‘became a dog’ says people don’t get him
The man originally made waves last year when videos of his amazingly lifelike dog suit were circulated online.
Since then, he’s kept his YouTube channel ‘I want to be an animal’ updated with his adventures as Toco.
Toco recently purchased his own dog box to sleep in and described his experience going for a stroll while wearing his leash.
Despite appearing to want the dog life, Toco recently revealed in an interview that people have been ‘misinformed’ about his goals.
Toco told the New York Post, “My urge to be an animal is like a wish to become…a wish to be someone I am not.”
Toco went on to claim that he wears the dog costume around once a week, primarily at home.
The new viral sensation stated that he ‘did not expect such a large response’ to his outfit.
Man’s family was surprised at first but they accepted it
Despite his unusual interest, his family has yet to put him in the dog house, despite his wearing a dog costume at times at home.
“The family was surprised, but they accepted it positively,” he continued. “I am very happy that they accepted it.”
Toco refused to disclose information when asked how much he makes from his YouTube channel, which recently reached 50,000 members.
His ascent to stardom, however, was not cheap, as the custom-made suit cost him more than £12,000.
Taco has also received his fair share of criticism in recent weeks and months, but this will not deter him from his pastime.
“I adore animals and enjoy impersonating a collie,” he added.
“This is my hobby, so I’ll keep doing it.” It makes me happy, and it makes other people happy.”
It comes after Toco terrified real canines on the street with his lifelike suit, dividing much of the internet.
Toco takes a stroll in a park in the movie, titled ‘Dogs and people’s reactions to seeing a realistic dog costume,’ where humans marvel at his wonderful outfit and seem impressed by the fact that he can do tricks.
The four-legged park visitors, on the other hand, are less delighted to meet Toco – one dog can be seen expressing an interest in him before racing away and straining on his leash, while a woman watching notes: “He’s scared. He’s terrified.”
