A Japanese man who transformed into a dog recently shared information about his unusual lifestyle during an interview with the New York Post.
He explained that he chose to transform into a collie dog because he likes raising this particular breed of dog.
Furthermore, he mentioned, “Secondly, because if it weren’t a naturally large breed, it wouldn’t look abnormally disproportionate when someone used it as a costume.”
Following his viral fame and worldwide recognition as the “human collie”, he expressed his aspiration to pursue a career as a movie star.
“I think it would be great if I could use my skills and have the opportunity to appear as a dog in a movie.” he said.
Toco revealed that he had harbored a desire to live as an animal for an extended period but lacked the courage to do so.
“About two and a half years ago, I spoke to several companies about wanting to make a realistic dog costume like this.” he said.
It took one willing person six months to create his costume, which was completed in 2022. He recently shared a video of his first public appearance in the costume.
The equipment is estimated to cost more than 12 lakh (2 million yen).
Additionally, he expressed his desire to find love and meet a woman who shares his interest in dressing up as a dog.
”I think it would be fantastic if something like this existed. “I want to meet them.” he said.
While he acknowledged that walking on all fours is physically demanding, he emphasized that the sense of satisfaction that comes with it makes it worth it.

“Instead of being harsh or physically uncomfortable, the excitement and fun I get from this experience is stronger,” he said.
Regarding his choice to become a collie, Toco had previously explained:
“I made him a collie because he looks real when I put him on according to my taste and costume. My favorites are the adorable, quadruped animals. Among them, I thought that a large animal near me would be fine, considering that it would be a realistic model, so I decided to convert him on a dog. Long-haired dogs can confuse the human figure. I fulfilled that condition and made Collie my favorite breed of dog.”
