His uncle Yogendra Singh Yadav is an election analyst and politician. His uncle, along with Prashant Bhushan, founded the organization Swaraj Abhiyan, which does a lot of work towards serious problems of farmers. Jayant has married his long-time girlfriend Disha Chawla.

Career
Jayant’s father sent him to a local cricket academy in Delhi to learn cricket, where he received training to play cricket. He made his IPL debut in 2015. From 2015 to 2017, Delhi had included Jayant in their team for Rs 10 lakh.
In 2018, Jayant’s IPL price increased from 10 lakhs to 50 lakhs, even then Delhi Capitals included him in their team again. From 2019 to 2021, Jayant played for the Mumbai Indians, the team that won five IPL trophies. In 2022, Jayant was bought by IPL team Gujarat Titans for Rs. 1.50 crores.
