Jonathan Moutonv is an American singer and songwriter. He is known for participating in the reality television show The Voice season 21. He performed opposite Blake Shelton, Ariana Grande, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend.
Biography
Jonathan Moutonv was born on May 15, 1991 in Los Angeles, California. His family consists of parents Mo Mouton and Lydia Mouton; and two brothers. He belongs to a family of musicians. His mother was a background singer for Motown superstars like Stevie Wonder and The Jackson Five. She inspired him to pursue a career in singing. Initially, Jonathan competed in several talent shows and landed a gig on a Glee-inspired musical tour after high school. He continued to tour as a background artist, but at age 23 he discovered a lump in his neck. Doctors told him he had fourth-stage cancer that had spread to the lung, spleen and liver.
Jonathan gave up within months of receiving treatment, but his parents and brother continued to fight. He defeated cancer and once again began to fulfill his dream. He appeared on FOX’s I Can See Your Voice and performed opposite well-known celebrities such as Cheryl Hines and Donny Osmond. In 2021, Jonathan had the opportunity to perform with Legend’s team on the NBC television show, The Voice, season 21.
