Joshua Sasse is a British actor, poet and writer. He is best known for playing the character of Sir Galavant in the television series Galavant broadcast on the ABC channel. He has worked on many television series including Rogue, No Tomorrow and Monarch. Additionally, Joshua was seen as Jacques in a movie Her Pen Pal in 2021.
Birth and early life
Joshua Sasse was born on December 9, 1987 in Westminster, London, the son of poet Dominic Sasse and Mary Rosalind Macauley. He has an older sister named Lydia Sasse. Joshua’s father died when he was 5 years old on PIA Flight 268, while traveling to Kathmandu. Later his mother remarried.
Joshua studied at Shrewsbury School and then pursued performing arts at Hurtwood House College. While studying, he discovered a passion for acting.

Career
Joshua began his acting career with the film The Big I Am directed by Nic Auerbach, in which he was seen playing Rixie alongside Michael Madsen and Leo Gregory. He was subsequently chosen for Frankenstein’s army. From 2013 to 2014, he played the recurring role of Alec Laszlo on the television series Rogue. Joshua achieved a breakthrough after playing the lead role in the TV show Galavant. He was later seen in No Tomorrow as Xavier and Monarch as Luke Roman.
