Jurist Jonathan Turley becomes the latest ‘bashing’ victim after a false report of a shooting at his home

Jurist Johnathan Turley has become the latest “bashing” victim when a 911 call was placed falsely reporting that someone had been shot at his Virginia home.

“Yes, they crushed me tonight. Unfortunately, it is a manifestation of our era of anger,” the George Washington University law professor said in a statement Friday.

“However, we are grateful to the Fairfax police officers who were very professional and supportive in responding to this harassment,” said Turley, who regularly writes op-eds for The Post.

Authorities responded to Turley’s home in Fairfax County after an individual placed a false emergency call.

The Fairfax County Police Department confirmed that the caller falsely said someone was shot at Turley’s address.

The incident comes a day after Turley spoke out against the “smackdown” during an interview with Fox News Digital.

“This is a crime that thrives because there are not enough deterrents,” Turley told the outlet.

Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) became the third Republican member of Congress to be “beaten” during this week’s holiday recess when police responded to his home in Naples, Florida, on Wednesday.

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, a Democrat, was “beaten” two weeks after hosting a controversial Christmas party for non-white city council members.

Police also responded to the visit of Ohio Republican state Rep. Kevin D. Miller the day after Christmas after false reports of a shooting, according to local authorities.
