Kanisha Malhotra was born on October 28, 1991 in New Delhi, India, into a Hindu family. She did her schooling in her hometown and graduated from Delhi University. She started her career with a Bollywood film called Second Marriage Dot Com, directed by Priyanka Agarwal, with Mohit Chauhan, Vishal Nayak, Charu Rahtogi and Sayani Gupta. In 2013, she made her television debut with the popular youth program MTV Webbed. Later, she got the opportunity to play Ratnanidhi in Sahara One’s mythological show Jai Jai Jai Bajrang Bali. Kanisha later appeared in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein as ACP Shalini, POW – Bandi Yuddh Ke as Ananya and Maharakshak: Devi as Deepali.
