Biography
Karma Takapa was born and brought up in Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. He had a love for theater and cinema since he was little. But due to lack of film infrastructure, he shifted to the famous Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune. From here, he completed the film production course and in 2012 became actively involved in the film industry.
In his initial career he wrote and directed short films and documentaries. Her first breakthrough came in 2013 with the short film Thutse Kyuma. The short film had the opportunity to be presented at the Beijing International Student Festival and the Indian International Film Festival. After this film, she directed films like Yahin Kahin Nahin, Mor Mann Ke Bharam and Ralang Road.
In 2021, Karma got his first opportunity to act in addition to directing the film. She played the lead role of Dev in this web series The Last Hour. He also worked with Sanjay Kapoor, Shaylee Krishen, Shahana Goswami and Raima Sen in this.
