Koushik Roy is an Indian-Bengali actor who works mainly in films and television series. He is well known for reprising the role of Krishna Sengupta in Star Jalsha’s romantic soap opera series Bojhena Se Bojhena, which is based on the Hindi romantic soap opera Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?. Koushik has received several awards for his fascinating performance. He has also worked in some Bengali films like Flyover, Bhagshesh, Maati and Ekla Cholo, Proloy.

Koushik Roy was born on January 29, 1992 in Baharampur, West Bengal. After completing his studies, he went to Calcutta to take an acting course to become an actor. Koushik Roy married Portia Roy. The couple is lucky to have a daughter. He is an active member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Career
Television
Koushik Roy made his acting debut with the television series Josh playing the role of Shabba aired on Sananda TV in 2011. He later participated in several serials such as Bodhu Kon Alo Laaglo Chokhe (2012-14) and Ishti Kutum (2014). After working in this series, Koushik gained popularity for appearing in Star Jalsha’s romantic drama series Bojhena Se Bojhena, where he played the role of Krishna Sengupta. He won the Tele Samman 2015 award in the category of best negative role for his performance.
In 2015-18, he played the male lead role of Somuddroneel Banerjee in Punyi Pukur opposite Monami Ghosh. Koushik played the role of Anurup Mallick in Star Jalsha’s soap opera series Phagun Bou and won the Tele Academy Award 2019 in the best negative role category.
Koushik later appeared alongside Trina Saha in the romantic comedy series Khorkuto. She played a dual role as Soujanyo Mukherjee and Dr. Sourin Mukherjee.

Koushik Roy started his film career in Raj Chakraborty’s film Proloy, where he played the role of Nikhil in 2013. He then appeared in the horror comedy film Goynar Baksho, where he played the role of Ram Khilawan alongside Konkona Sen Sharma and Moushumi Chatterjee. in 2013. He then appeared in a supporting role in some films like Omnyo Bwosonto, Ekla Cholo, Bhagshesh and WMT 9615. In 2021, Koushik starred alongside Koel Mullick and Gaurav Chakrabarty as Palash Bose in the Bengali thriller film Flyover.
