Kunaal Roy Kapur was born on February 13, 1979 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, in a Punjabi family. His grandfather Raghupat Roy Kapur was a film producer who moved to Mumbai. His father’s name is Kumud Roy Kapur and his mother’s name is Salome Roy Kapur. Salomé is former Miss India in 1972.
Kunal is ranked second among the three brothers. His elder brother, Siddharth Roy Kapur, is a film producer and founder and CEO of Roy Kapur Films. He is also known for marrying popular actress Vidya Balan. His younger brother Aditya Roy Kapur is also a well-known Bollywood film actor.

Career
Kunal started his career in the television show Just Mohabbat in the year 1996, where he played the role of Sanjay. After that, he worked in another television series called Mumbai Calling (2007). After working in a few television shows, he entered Bollywood through the film Panga Na Lo (2007) where he played the role of Bura.
He later rose to fame with his performance in the film Delhi Belly (2011), where his character made him famous, the film was directed by Abhinay Deo. She worked in other popular films like Nautanki Saala (2013), Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013), Action Jackson (2014), Azhar (2016), Tribhanga (2021) and many more.
Kunal had the opportunity to work with top directors and actors like Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Ajay Devgan, Ayushman Khurana, etc. In 2022, she appeared in the series Voot Adha Ishq playing the role of Milind and also in the directorial Radha. Krishna Kumar’s film Radhe Shyam stars Prabhas and Pooja Hedge.
