‘Lady Beans’ confesses that she was deported from the United States ‘for being involved’

Mirian Yamileth Zelaya Gómez, better known as ‘Lady Frijoles’, told in an interview with Rudy Mejía the real reasons why she was deported from the United States.

And the Honduran woman, who became famous for complaining about the food she was given while on her way to Mexico, arrived deported to Honduras in 2019.

According to the woman, she was deported for being ‘involved’ because she intervened in her sister’s fight.

“Not because she was fighting, but because she was pushing my sister away. Because she was involved, that’s the word, because she was involved,” the woman said in the interview.

Zelaya Gómez was detained in the United States for the fight in Dallas, Texas. At first it was stated that the woman was accused of having carried out an armed robbery, shortly after it was indicated that she participated in a direct attack against an aunt.

After that and due to her status as an undocumented immigrant, the authorities sent her back to her country.

Now, ‘Lady Frijoles’, 42 years old, works on the streets of the center of the capital selling horchatas and typical foods such as catrachas.
